Summary
The Financial Planning Associate, Wealth Management, is responsible for supporting the Financial Planner in providing comprehensive financial planning to clients. This role serves as a bridge between administrative support and full advisory responsibilities, assisting with client relationships, financial data analysis, and financial plan development while providing administrative support as needed. This position offers opportunities for professional development and growth into a lead advisory role.

Position Duties
- Manage and support a portfolio of clients, providing financial advice under the guidance of the Financial Planner.
- Assist in onboarding new clients, ensuring all documentation and compliance requirements are met.
- Conduct research and analysis to support financial planning recommendations.
- Prepare financial plan documentation.
- Provide ongoing support to clients by responding to inquiries and assisting with account management.
- Monitor client accounts and investment performance, bringing potential concerns to the Financial Planner’s attention.
- Stay informed about financial markets, products, and industry trends to assist in client education.
- Support business development initiatives by preparing marketing materials and participating in networking events.
- A strong commitment to becoming deeply integrated in the business, with the goal of advancing toward a Certified Financial Planner designation as part of a long-term transition and succession plan.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance requirements and firm policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in finance, economics, business, or a related field.
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Personal Financial Planner (PFP) designation, considered an asset.
- The Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) license or willingness to obtain.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, or investment advising.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and client service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience with financial planning software (Conquest- preferred).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- High ethical standards and commitment to client’s best interests.
Working Conditions

- Extended hours may be required based on client needs.
