In 1992, the Government of Canada designated October as Women’s History Month. This month long celebration recognizes the outstanding achievements of women and girls throughout Canada’s history. Our Equity, Diversity & Inclusivity committee at Ford Keast came together to educate and give back to our community. Throughout the month of October, our team members donated various items in support of the My Sisters’ Place wish list. My Sisters’ Place is a safe, welcoming and inclusive centre that supports women through various services. It offers a comprehensive multi-disciplinary support system for vulnerable women in our community.
