Associate, Tax
Laura is a member of the Tax Services practice at Ford Keast LLP and focuses on Canadian private company and owner-manager taxation, including succession planning, estate tax planning, and corporate reorganizations. She offers expertise in intergenerational farm transfers, specializes in HST matters, and has significant experience with personal and corporate taxes. Acting as the Canada Revenue Agency liaison, she has assisted numerous clients with various items such as audits, appeals, and voluntary disclosures.
Laura graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2011 and received her CA/CPA designation in 2014. She has also completed the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax course (2016), the In-Depth Tax Issues for the Owner-Managed Business course (2019), the In-Depth GST/HST course (2017), and is also a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation.
Outside of work, you’ll find Laura staying active, hiking many of the amazing trails London offers or testing her athletic abilities on the golf course and baseball diamond. She also enjoys frequently travelling back to her hometown of Fergus, Ontario, to visit with family and friends.
